Dasha and transits answer different timing questions

Dasha and transit views are often used together, but they begin from different reference points and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Dasha begins from the natal framework

A dasha sequence organizes life into planetary periods derived from the birth chart under a chosen system. Different dasha systems use different rules and emphases.

Transit begins from the current sky

A transit view compares current planetary positions with the natal chart or another reference chart. It changes as the planets continue to move.

Interpretation asks where the views overlap

A practitioner may consider whether a natal period and a current transit point toward the same theme. Agreement can strengthen context, but it still does not guarantee an event.
